Hey CSA Members!
I hope you had a really good week. It feels like summer is winding down and fall is ever encroaching… I can tell everyone is getting in their last few vacations and soaking up as much summer sun as possible. I hope you’re enjoying the sweet August air!
Read below for stories from the farm and to see what’s in the box this week!
On the farm…

We spent a lot of our time this week harvesting the potato crop. The potatoes that actually produced look really good! We are so grateful this wasn’t an extreme loss. We still have potatoes to eat and share with the community. Thank you to those who came to help us last week! We will finish harvesting potatoes next week. If anyone is available to help, here are the times we can have volunteers:
Tuesday: 9:00am-12:00pm
Wednesday: 3:00-6:00pm
Just text or email me when you want to come help dig!
In the box….

Inspiration….
When looking at this box, I’m imagining a BAKED POTATO BAR! The russet potatoes are a really nice for baking whole and loading up with all your favorite toppings! Chop the parsley for a nice garnish on top. Maybe spread some homemade salsa from the cherry tomatoes on top too!
From here on out, we’ll probably be including potatoes into many of your CSA shares. Luckily, potatoes store really nicely, and you don’t need to be eating through them all every week. I recommend storing the potatoes in a dark, cool place such as your pantry or basement. Be sure to cover the potatoes with a towel or cloth to protect them from being stored in the light. They will last longer this way.
See you this afternoon!
Your farmers,
Eleanor and Pearce
